We at Cloudist believe in a future where cloud services are not only powerful, but also transparent and climate-smart. With support from EU and Region Skåne, we take the next step in our journey toward greener IT. It is no longer enough to say that one is sustainable

Companies need to be able to show it, measure it and report it – for real. At the same time, the need for AI calculations is growing explosively.
We asked ourselves the question: Why not combine these two? The answer became this project.

First out: Automated climate reporting

The first of our comprehensive climate-smart solutions
that make a difference for Swedish companies and their customers.

No more guessing. No more manual fiddling in Excel sheets. We are building a system that itself automatically collects and shows exact climate impact. Down to CPU, RAM and GB level.

It means:
– Real-time reports for every customer, service and time period
– CSRD-compatible reports with a button press

– Scheduled reports that are sent automatically
– Perfect for MSPs who need to report both for themselves and their end customers

Why are we doing this?

Because the IT industry stands at a crossroads. Digitalization accelerates. At the same time, requirements for sustainability reporting are tightened through CSRD and other regulations. Swedish companies need solutions that make it easy to do right. Not only for the environment’s sake, but because it is a smart business.

But we do not stop at certifications. Here is what we concretely work with.

Hardware optimization.

Keep hardware utilization at 80% ± 10% ± 10% with redundancy. No unutilized servers that stand and draw power unnecessarily.

Energy efficiency.

Reduce kWh per turnover by 5% annually for three years. Every krona we earn should cost the environment less.

Real change in the world

This project supports the UN’s global sustainability goals in Agenda 2030

Goal 9.
Sustainable industry, innovations and infrastructure through prioritizing refurbished equipment and choosing sustainable suppliers, we reduce resource consumption.

Goal 12.
Sustainable consumption and production through collaboration with EcoDatacenter and transparent climate reporting, we make it possible for companies to consume IT services in a sustainable way.
