Who handles the backup - Cloudist or CloudAlly?
The backup job is run by CloudAlly in the public cloud, but all data is stored at Cloudist in Sweden
Is the Google Workspace backup a cloud-to-cloud solution?
Yes. The backup occurs directly between Google Workspace and Cloudist’s infrastructure. All transfer occurs encrypted – no local intermediate storage is needed.
Can I as MSP bring own storage (BYOS)?
No. Cloudist provides the storage as an integrated part of the service. It makes handling more secure, simpler and fully controlled.
How does data recovery work?
Restore individual emails, files, folders or entire user accounts directly in the interface.
How does the license and pricing model work?
The service is charged per licensed mailbox. Shared mailboxes are backed up but are not charged. You will find more information about our prices to MSPs under Prices.
How is the backup protected against attacks and data breaches?
The backup is immutable and end-to-end encrypted. No one can manipulate or delete it, not even administrators
