How Microsoft 365 backup works at Cloudist

The backup is a cloud-to-cloud solution, which means that everything occurs directly between M365 and Cloudist’s service. Without local installation or own operations.
The backup runs automatically up to three times daily. You can also start recovery or extra backup manually.

Why do I need backup for Microsoft 365?
Microsoft is responsible for operations and you are responsible for the data. Backup is needed to protect against mistakes, attacks and deleted users.
What is protected with Cloudist Microsoft 365 backup?
Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams. Including conversations, files, folders and channels.
How often does the backup occur?
As standard once per day, with possibility for manual backup when needed. You can also set schedule for up to three times per day.
Is Microsoft 365 backup secure against ransomware?
Yes. Data is immutable and cannot be manipulated or encrypted.
How does data recovery work?
Restore individual objects, entire user accounts or Teams environments directly via Cloudist Portal.
How does the license and pricing model work?
The service is charged per licensed Microsoft 365 mailbox. You have no limitation on storage space. Pause inactive accounts and export data during offboarding to save licenses. You will find more information about our prices to MSPs under Prices.
